Well, for one day, there's nothing major going on in my life.
Grandmama and I had a dermatologist appointment today.
I came out with flying colors but grandmama didn't come out as well. She had a biopsy on her thigh for a suspicious looking spot and the dr froze a spot on her nose. We have to wait a week or two to find out about the spot on her thigh.
We did have a crisis yesterday (in the humble opinion of my grandmama). She didn't get her newspaper. She was so very upset. I guess for a woman who spends alot of time inside her house, this was a major problem. Fortunately, the paper came today and life was good. She had talked about her missing paper all day. If I had been thinking properly, I could have solved her problem by going and buying her a paper. The bad granddaughter in me only thought about going to the nursing home, getting and doing the laundry and cleaning my sons' room. I really need to try to be more thoughtful in the future.
I didn't start on the nursing home laundry until today. OMG. They smelled worse than I have ever smelled them. Since I wasn't going to finish them tonight, I had to put the remaining bag of laundry on the deck. I couldn't breath in the bathroom where I was trying to wash them because of the smell. The second load I started on is on it's second trip through the washing machine. I have learned that there is no cure to that poop/pee/amonia smell, even though I still try.
I made a goulash-type stew/soup this evening. Not bad at all. It had hamburger (I didn't use ground venison like I normally do), tomatoes, potatoes, rice, italian seasoning, lots of garlic, salt and water. The taste reminded me of minestrone which I dearly love. Next time I'm going to try using egg noodles instead of rice.
Enough of the nice boring stuff. You have a good night!
